WHO ARE TOTAL TOURS?
Total Tours Ltd has been operating since 2004 and hosts a wide range of sporting and other groups to Christchurch and other parts of New Zealand. The company is based in Christchurch and is a specialist inbound operator. With sporting connections throughout the country, no destination is off the radar. In Christchurch, there are opportunities for unique cricket experiences with top-level coaching and the chance to meet professional players. Canterbury Cricket supports Total Tours to ensure a unique and memorable experience.
“Cricket offers so much at all levels and I would encourage young people to play the game and create lifelong memories for themselves as I have. Touring and playing together in other countries provides many experiences and personal development opportunities. New Zealand is rich in so many ways and the experiences available here are first class. My home town of Christchurch is an exceptional cricket destination. I am happy to recommend Total Tours for a great tour experience”
Tom Latham, New Zealand International Cricketer
WHY CHRISTCHURCH?
Christchurch is the gateway to the South Island. This other ‘half’ of New Zealand is where the mountains, glaciers and other wonderous scenery exists. And amongst it all are endless opportunities for skiing, whitewater rafting, jet boating, thermal pools and road-trips that will take your breath away. Christchurch is a fantastic small city with a population of 370,000. The city is easy to get around and is warm and welcoming, especially amongst the sporting community.
Top competition – There are many top schools in Christchurch that have cricket as their main summer sport. The standard is high, as is the hospitality. Schools that have strong cricket teams at most levels are: Christchurch Boys’ High School, Burnside High School, Saint Andrews Collage, Christs College, Shirley Boys’ High School, Saint Thomas College and more.
Specialist coaching – Access to Canterbury Cricket qualified and experienced coaches. This experience provides an opportunity to learn about the game from a different perspective, to test your knowledge and understand and share information.
