It was a big weekend for Canterbury Cricket with our men’s team taking a convincing 5 wicket win over the Central Stags. Special mentions to Tom Latham for an unbeaten 73, and to Will Williams for a fantastic 4-34 with the ball. Our next game in the Ford Trophy schedule is a big one against the top of the table Auckland Aces here at Hagley, this Wednesday the 31st of October at 11am.

Our Canterbury Magicians also had a great weekend in the opening round of the Burger King Super Smash, starting with a narrow 6 run loss to the still unbeaten Auckland Hearts, and following it up with three consecutive wins against the Central Hinds, the Otago Sparks, and the Northern Spirit. A huge congratulations to all of the squad for getting out there and making us proud this weekend. Our next and last Super Smash game of the year is on the 23rd of December down at the University Oval in Otago.
