Canterbury Cricket Announces 2024/25 Magicians Contracts
Canterbury Cricket is proud to announce the list of contracted players for the Canterbury Magicians ahead of the 2024/25 season. The squad is a blend of seasoned performers and exciting young talent, all geared up to build on the learnings of the previous seasons. Kate Anderson rejoins the domestic list and Harriet Graham earns her first domestic contract after being a part of the wider squad in recent seasons.
On her contract, Graham said “I’m really grateful and excited to be offered my first contract. I am looking forward to being back in Christchurch and being a part of the squad. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead, putting in the hard work and take every opportunity that arises”.

Head coach Rhys Morgan expressed his excitement about the upcoming season, saying “We have a fantastic group of players this season, with a great mix of experience and youth. The squad gives us a lot of options, and we’re looking forward to building on the foundations we’ve set in recent seasons. Our focus will be on playing a brand of cricket that is both entertaining and competitive, and we’re confident that this group has what it takes to achieve our goals.”*
Morgan also highlighted the importance of continuity and development within the squad, adding “We’re committed to developing our young talent and ensuring they have the support and guidance needed to thrive at this level. The experience our senior players bring will be invaluable in helping our younger players grow and contribute to the team’s success.”
The Canterbury Magicians commence their season on the 16th & 17th of November with the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield before the focus shifts to the Dream 11 Super Smash over the holiday period before finishing with the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield at the backend of the season.
