Chief Executive Officer

Canterbury Cricket is currently recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer to be responsible for providing strategic leadership and stakeholder engagement to ensure the growth and success of cricket in the Canterbury region.

It goes without saying that you will have a passion for sport and/or cricket, ideally experienced working in a not-for-profit environment, comfortable partnering with commercial sponsors and will know what it takes to keep such a business financially successful.

In addition, you will:

– Think strategically – able to develop innovative strategies for growth.
– Be a natural networker and known for your stakeholder engagement skills.
– Be highly organised – able to manage multiple priorities.
– Understand governance principles and know how to advance the game through effective relationships with the Board and management team leadership.
– Have experience managing high-performance programmes to achieve sustainable excellence.
