The Canterbury High Performance Coaches Conference is being held at the Bert Sutcliffe Pavilion, Lincoln this August 29th and 30th.

John will share his experiences of coaching
The Indian National team. He will also share
his views on talent identification in NZ.

1pm T20 Batting
Bob Carter
With the rapid growth of Twenty20 cricket Bob
will share some ideas and drills on developing
batsmen for the shortened form of the game.
(This session will take place in the HPC.)
2pm NZC High Performance Vision
Geoff Allott
Geoff will share his vision for High Performance
Cricket in New Zealand.
3pm Tea
3.15pm Workshop – Creating ‘The Canterbury Way’
There will be three sections to this workshop:
· The Canterbury Way Manual
Richard Hayward (finalizing the document)
· Coaching Curriculum for age group Cricketers

9am Woman’sWorld Cup 2009
Haidee Tiffen
As well as sharing her experiences from the 2009
World Cup, Haidee will share what she learnt
from her coaches as she has developed as a cricketer.

10am Coaching The Crusaders
Todd Blackadder
Learnings from coaches as a player and a coach- Todd will share his thoughts on team ethics, team protocols, player accountability, team culture aswell as what he has found useful from othercoaches as both a player and a coach.
11.30am Practical Fitness Ideas for Coaches
Neil Tyndall
This will take place on the Oval if the weather
is fine. If wet we will go into the HPC
12.30pm Lunch
1.30pm Workshop – Growing Our Community Base
Mike Harvey
Making it happen- Coaches divided into 4 groups (1 to discuss girls/women’s cricket and 3 to discuss boys/men’s cricket)
The groups will come up with practical ideas to
grow the numbers of cricketers at all levels
2.45pm Coping with Pressure
